PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope realizing an increased light volume of a light-emitting element disposed inside of an operation part by adequately cooling the light-emitting element without increasing the size of the operation part in a configuration in which the light-emitting element is disposed in the operation part.SOLUTION: An endoscope 1 includes: an operation part 3 having a light source part 40 disposed therein an insertion part 2 extended from the operation part 3 and a flexible insertion part-breakage protector 6 of which one end is fixed to the operation part 3 and protects an operation part-side end portion of the insertion part 2 one or more highly conductive heat sinks 61, 62, 63 disposed inside of the operation part 3 for radiating heat generated by the light-emitting element a highly heat-conductive radiation flux 65 of which one end is connected for radiating heat conducted to the heat sinks 61, 62, 63 and that is disposed inside a thru hole 6a of the insertion part-breakage protector 6 in an axial direction and a radiating hole 6h that has an outer peripheral hole 6m in an outer peripheral surface of the insertion part-breakage protector 6 and exposes, through the outer peripheral hole 6m, an outer surface of the radiation flux 65 disposed inside of the thru hole 6a.
