Method for extracting an implant installed in a bone, which comprisesthe application of a torque on an extraction tool in order to thread it in theinterior of the implant until the implant-bone connection is broken, with thespecific feature that the torque is applied in phases. In each phase a torquethatis increasingly greater than in the previous phase is applied and theapplicationof torque is then eased. This method brings about a gradual and controlleddeformation of the head of the implant, with the result that the extractiontool isinserted more deeply into the implant. As a result, higher breakage torquesmaybe applied without damage being caused to the extraction tool.
