FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Dry powder inhaler is intended for pulmonary or nasal delivery and includes a housing and a cartridge. Housing contains a mouthpiece, a lower inlet of the channel, an inhalation channel for fluid communication between the patient’s mouth and the lower channel inlet. Side inlet provides direct air from the atmosphere into the inhalation channel. Housing bore is defined between the opposing upper wall and the lower wall and the opposite side walls. Housing bore has at least one open end through which the cartridge is inserted into the bore, and at least one air inlet for air to enter the body bore. Means for guiding the movement of the cartridge in the housing opening control its movement from the storage position to the inhalation position. Cartridge is adapted to engage in the opening of the housing and has a cylindrical powder chamber for receiving a medicine based on a powder, and an air inlet vent.
