The present invention deals with mucoadhesive based Nasal formulation of Chlorpromazine HC1 which effectively delivers the desired amount of drug by nasal route. It is a non-invasive alternative to intravenous delivery, providing features like rapid onset of action, targeted delivery to the site of action i.e. brain thus avoiding the side effects .The added advantage of the formulation is the sustained delivery of the drug. By virtue of its multiple advantages ,the formulation is preferred in the treatment of various CNS disorders including Psychosis and migraine.
