PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR PROPHYLAXIS AND TREATMENT OF ACNE, SKIN EXTERNAL PREPARATION, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING EXTRACT OF PHYSOSTEGIA VIRGINIANA
The present invention provides a method for preparing an extract of Physostegia virginiana, and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating acne. The method for preparing an extract of Physostegia virginiana comprises: a drying step for drying the Physostegia virginiana； a pulverization step for pulverizing the dried Physostegia virginiana to make the same into powder； a solvent extraction step for adding the pulverized Physostegia virginiana to an extractant and obtaining an extract； a filtering step for filtering the extract using filter paper to remove precipitates and obtaining an extract of broth； an evaporative concentration step for reducing pressure for the extract of broth in an evaporator to evaporate and concentrate the same； and a freeze drying step for freezing the evaporated and concentrated concentrate in a freeze dryer and reducing pressure the same to remove moisture and obtaining a dried extract. The pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating the acne comprises 0.001 to 35 wt% of the Physostegia virginiana extracted by the method as an active ingredient, and has an excellent antifungal activity against Propionibacterium acnes.
