PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse wave measurement device and a pulse wave measurement method capable of accurately measuring a pulse wave by a simplified and miniaturized configuration.SOLUTION: The pulse wave measurement device comprises: a plurality of pulse wave detection units 5 each including a cavity disposed opposite to a surface of a living body, a differential pressure sensor 52 for outputting a signal about the difference between pressures inside and outside the cavity, and a membrane-type transducer 53 for changing the volume inside the cavity； and a calculation processing unit 74 for calculating the displacement of the surface of the living body, on the basis of the output of the differential pressure sensor. The calculation processing unit includes a selection unit 12 for selecting, on the basis of the drive signal of the membrane-type transducer, a specific pulse wave detection unit from among the plurality of pulse wave detection units.
