PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide purified mesenchymal stem cell compositions and methods of purifying mesenchymal stem cell compositions.SOLUTION: The present invention provides mesenchymal stem cell compositions purified by centrifugation. A pharmaceutically acceptable composition includes one or more mesenchymal stem cell aggregates and the D90 of the aggregate is less than about 150 μm. The pharmaceutically acceptable composition contains less than about 55 μg/mL, preferably less than about 42 μg/mL, more preferably less than about 25 μg/mL, further preferably less than about 13 μg/mL, particularly preferably less than about 10 μg/mL of residual bovine serum albumin, wherein the mesenchymal stem cells exhibit a D90 in a range from about 18 μm to about 30 μm.
