A respiratory assistance device (1) includes a pair of prongs (12) which are airways to be attached to a user's nose, and a blower (10) which is connected to the pair of prongs (12) and sends air to the user's nasal cavity via the prongs (12). The blower (10) is placed on the user's mouth. The blower (10) is in contact with the user's mouth. The blower (10) includes: a housing (21) including an intake port (26) from which gas is taken in, a flow channel (32) which is arranged to extend around and through which the air taken in via the intake port (26) flows, and a discharge port (27) which sends the air flowing through the flow channel (32) toward the prongs (12)； an impeller (23) which is arranged in the housing (21) so that its front side faces the intake port (26)； and a partition member (25) which is arranged on a rear side of the impeller (23) so that a slit (d) extending around is formed along an inner periphery of the housing (21), thereby partitioning the rear side into a space (31) where the impeller (23) is arranged and the flow channel (32) which extends around along the slit (d).
