PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber light source device which is a small light source device with a simple configuration, wherein a part between a light source part and a transmission part is easily attached/detached.
SOLUTION: The device comprises: a light transmission unit and a light source for a fiber. The light transmission unit includes: a fiber holding part having a distal end surface and a through-hole and an optical fiber having an incident end surface, which is inserted to the through-hole, so as to allow the incident end surface to be positioned on the same plane of the distal end surface. The light source for the fiber includes: a light emitting element and a mount part having a recessed part, where a bottom surface with the light emitting element arranged thereon and an opening end part opposing the incident end surface are arranged, and having a flat surface positioned in the circumference of the recessed part. The flat surface is brought into press contact with the distal end surface of the fiber holding part.
