PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalytic member which overcomes the problem that the utilization efficiency of ultraviolet light is deteriorated because ultraviolet light is scattered by an adsorbent.
SOLUTION: The photocatalytic member is characterized by providing a mixture layer of the photocatalyst, the adsorbent and a binder to the lower layer and providing a layer comprised of titanium oxide and a binder to the upper layer. The scattered ultraviolet light of the adsorbent can be effectively utilized by controlling the film thickness and the porosity of the upper layer.
