A composition and its uses are sisclosed, said composition comprising deramciclame in combination with at least one NSAID, preferably selected from the group consisting of ibuprofene, indomethacin, piroxicam, celecoxib, naproxen, ketoprofen, etodolac, ketorolac, meloxicam, nabumetone, sulindac, tolmetine, oxaprozin, flurbirofen, diflunisal, aminophenazone, phenylbutazone, diclofenac, rofecoxib and any combination thereof, in the treatment of inflammatory processes while preventing the occurrence of unwanted side effects attributable to the inhibition of the enzymatic activity COX1 and/or COX2.
