Embodiments of the present invention include a compact, lightweight, hand-held laser therapy device that combines emissions of two separate laser energy sources into a common optical path for improved therapeutic effectiveness. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes a housing having first and second laser sources arranged therein. In some embodiments, the laser energy emissions from the two internal laser sources can be transmitted individually or simultaneously to the transfer tip of the device through the laser transmission path formed in the interior of the housing.
