PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thresher for a combine harvester which is capable of reducing the threshing loss of a threshing cylinder having a cylinder body portion constituted with a clearance by connection bars, by sufficient shedding.SOLUTION: The thresher for the combine harvester includes the threshing cylinder (12) facing a receiving net member (11) receiving supplied cut grain stalks, and rotated around a rotation support shaft (12d) extending forward and backward of a machine body, to separate grains from the grain stalks, the threshing cylinder (12) being provided above a swing selection shelf (13). The threshing cylinder (12) includes front and rear end plates (12e) mounted to the rotation support shaft (12d) and facing each other a plurality of connection bars (16) formed of plate-like members dividedly laid between the peripheral edge parts of both end plates (12e) and a plurality of threshing teeth (17) radially arranged in the plate thickness direction of the connection bars (16) and projecting from the outer peripheral surface.
