A light emitting diode (LED) lamp for cultivating plants includes a photo-electric converting apparatus, a storage battery and a lighting module driven by the storage battery. Natural light is converted into electric energy by the photo-electric converting apparatus to be stored in the storage battery. The lighting module includes a red LED, a blue LED, a first ultraviolet LED and a second ultraviolet LED. Light emitted from the red LED, the blue LED and the first ultraviolet LED promotes the growth of the plants. Light emitted from the second ultraviolet LED inhibits the growth of the plants.
