Using different types of TMS(iTBS or cTBS), the researchers find that TMS is capable of changing the activity of neurons and synaptic connections. This technique is practiced in the therapy of PTSD, phobia and anxiety, especially the diseases closely relate to fear memory formation. In the experiment of the fear memory extinction related to tumor diseases, introducing TMS treatments in extinction phase significantly strength the effect of fear memory extinction that the participants who received iTBS at functional target F4 on their skulls show reduced skin conductance response(SCR) at fear recall phase. ITBS(intermittent theta burst stimulation) is a type of TMS that could increase the neuroactivity in targeted brain region, and prolonged exposure could result in amygdala, the region relate to fear memory and emotion control, and ventromedial prefrontal cortex(vmPFC), an critical area regulating amygdala and being highly activated when fear memory is suppressed.Nk~w threshold di;Ntrmrlign - Lthear-eac If9ioaeM Rm~ster allL1-m te thE enter, TurnoTurn on___ _____ tr1gh ctionth navilmuiofiJ___________ Cali1brate and Sta-tthe Ic~ta the iitci- &IiuIt~n at an Soanth-ceti~re 1 ~bral4 ofsujects Detiou sirgle observet witch of the acohier Lmiier n omherntnrvcr~ andtiuI tio sti~aionr~rId C.
