The present invention is related to an aqueous cleansing composition for keratin fibres, especially human hair, comprising at least one amino acid surfactant, and a cationic polymer. Accordingly, the object of the present invention is an aqueous cleansing composition comprising at least one amino acid surfactant of the following structure wherein R1 is a saturated or unsaturated, straight or branched alkyl chain with 7 to 17 C atoms, R2 is H or a methyl, R3 is H, COO−M+, CH2COO−M or COOH, n is O to 2, X is COO− or SO3− and M is independent from each other H, sodium or potassium, and at least one silicone compound with plurality of quaternary ammonium groups.
