PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: Ovarian cancer, skin cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, small cell lung cancer, squamous cell lung cancer, endometrial cancer, anal cancer, thyroid cancer, thymic cancer, unknown primary carcinoma, genitourinary cancer or gynecologic cancer. Provided are methods of identifying patients who have CD30 as eligible for therapy directed at CD30. The method includes determining the level of CD30 expression in a sample taken from the patient and identifying the patient as eligible for therapy directed at CD30 based on the expression of CD30 in the sample compared to a control.
