It is proposed the use of at least one alkyl-phthalide or a plant extract comprising predominantly for the topical cosmetic treatment of the skin and scalp, including an anti-dandruff treatment. According to the invention, it is possible to use in particular a supercritical CO2 extract of seeds of Apium graveolens mainly comprising sedanenolide. Il est proposé l'utilisation d'au moins un alkyl-phthalide ou d'un extrait de plante en comprenant majoritairement, pour le traitement topique cosmétique de la peau et du cuir chevelu, notamment un traitement anti-pelliculaire. Selon l'invention, on peut utiliser notamment un extrait CO2 supercritique de graines d'Apium graveolens comprenant majoritairement du sédanénolide.
