PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for external use having extremely low skin irritation, having excellent antibacterial properties, safe even when being used as cosmetic raw material, having reduced odors and having satisfactory daily stability.SOLUTION: A composition for external use includes: the alkylene oxide adduct of diol represented by general formula (1) and dioxolane (D) represented by general formula (2), and the (D) is included by 0.01 to 5 wt.% on the basis of the weight of the composition for external use.
