PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal experimental breeding device that can perform a stable experiment for a long term.SOLUTION: An animal experimental breeding device has a running wheel 3 for a mouse M to exercise, a rotary restricting device 4 enabling permission or non-permission of rotation of the running wheel 3, a rotation detecting device 5 for detecting the rotation of the running wheel 3, and a control unit 6 being the control unit 6 for controlling the rotary restricting device 4 and not enabling non-permission of the rotation of the running wheel 3 while the rotation of the running wheel 3 is detected by the rotation detecting device 5. When restricting the exercise of the animal by enabling the permission or non-permission of the rotation of the running wheel 3 by the rotary restricting device 4, the rotation of the running wheel 3 is not restricted in non-permission by the control unit 6 while the rotation of the running wheel 3 is detected by the rotation detecting device 5. Accordingly, an exercise restriction of the animal can automatically be performed while preventing the running wheel 3 from stopping suddenly and surprising the animal, and preventing the running wheel 3 from rapidly stopping to break the running wheel 3 when the animal rotates the running wheel 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】長期間に渡る安定した実験を行うことが可能な動物実験用飼育装置の提供。【解決手段】マウスMが運動するための回し車3と、回し車3の回転を許可または不許可にする回転制限装置4と、回し車3の回転を検出する回転検出装置5と、回転制限装置4を制御する制御装置6であり、回転検出装置5により回し車3の回転が検出されている間は回し車3の回転を不許可にしない制御装置6とを有し、回転制限装置4により回し車3の回転を許可または不許可にして動物の運動制限を行う際に、回転検出装置5により回し車3の回転が検出されている間は、制御装置6によって回し車3の回転を不許可に制限しないため、動物が回し車3を回転させているときに突然回し車3が停止して動物を驚かせたり、急激に回し車3が停止して回し車3が破損したりするのを防止しつつ、動物の運動制限を自動的に行うことができる。【選択図】図1
