Abstract: Non-communicable diseases including cancer and Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs) accounts for nearly 63% of all deaths in India of which CVDs, chiefly Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and Myocardial Infarction (Ml) accounts for nearly 30% of all deaths. Cardiovascular diseases such as Myocardial Infarction and sudden Cardiac Arrest are amongst the top five leading cause of mortality amongst Asian Indians. Moreover, It is a well documented fact that Asian Indians have considerably higher risk and mortality rates for premature Coronary Artery Disease(CAD) and Myocardial Infarction (Ml) than other global population, withseveral studies point to the fact that Asian Indians have considerably higher risk and prevalence of premature Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and higher mortality rates for CAD than other races.Genetic screening for suspected condition can help determine a person"s chance of developing or passing on a genetic disorder. Thus, a comprehensive, low-cost genetic screening method for suspected CVD condition can help prevention of chronic disability and/ or sudden deaths. Our unique cardiovascular diseases (CVD) screening panel comprises of mutations which are essentially responsible for majority of Cardiovascular pathologies including, arterial and venous thrombosis, arthrosclerosis, premature myocardial infarction and stroke.
