A simulated cigarette device with a substantially cylindrical cigarette-likeshape comprising a reservoir (7) of apressurised composition including an inhalable substance and a propellant. Arefill valve (6) is in communication with the reservoirvia which the reservoir is refilled. A breath-activated valve (9) selectivelycontrols the flow through a reservoir outlet andhence through an inhaling outlet in the device. The size of the reservoir, thepressure within the reservoir and the size of the reservoiroutlet at its narrowest point are arranged so that, when the breath-activatedvalve is fully opened, the reservoir will dischargein less than 30 seconds.
