A feeding tube assembly for insertion and delivery of nutrients into an alimentary canal of a subject is disclosed. A method of constructing the feeding tube with the insufflation device is also disclosed. The feeding tube assembly has a feeding tube with opposite proximal and distal ends, a feeding passage defined therein and extending between the proximal and distal ends, an outlet proximate the distal end and in fluid communication with the feeding passage, and a port disposed at the proximal end and in fluid communication with the outlet and an air insufflation device fluidly connectable to one of the first and second ports, comprising a compressible air bulb having a bulb inlet and a bulb outlet an inlet check valve disposed at the bulb inlet to unidirectionally allow air to flow into the bulb, an outlet check valve disposed at the bulb outlet to unidirectionally allow air to flow from the bulb, and a relief valve fluidly connected to the bulb outlet.Linvention concerne un ensemble sonde dalimentation pour introduire et administrer des nutriments dans un canal alimentaire dun sujet.
