PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress useless exposure and improve the workflow while a site of a subject is being imaged by a radiation tomographic apparatus.SOLUTION: There is provided a radiation tomographic apparatus, comprising: feature position specifying means for specifying a feature position on an outer shape of a subject rested on an imaging table, using a radiation-free technique start position determination means for determining scanning start position based on the specified feature position start control means for controlling a data collection system to start scanning from the determined start position reconstruction means for sequentially reconstructing an image based on data collected by scanning during execution of scanning determination means for determining whether or not the whole of an imaging site has been scanned substantially, based on the reconstructed image and termination control means for controlling data collection means to terminate scanning when the determination means determines that the whole of the imaging site has been scanned substantially.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
