PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article whose rate of absorption increases, whose return amount is reduced, and in which body fluid absorbed is less likely to remain in a top sheet.SOLUTION: An absorbent article has: a liquid-permeable top sheet； a liquid-impermeable back sheet； and an absorber arranged between the top sheet and the back sheet. The top sheet is composed of at least two liquid-permeable nonwoven fabric sheets. The nonwoven fabric sheets in a body side top layer is provided with linear slits going through the nonwoven fabric sheet intermittently along a longitudinal direction of the absorbent article. The nonwoven fabric sheet positioned in the lower layer is provided with linear slits going through the nonwoven fabric sheet intermittently along a width direction of the absorbent article.
