A matrix is described for the intra-intestinal release of a drug, and an oral form of a preparation containing sodium butyrate protected in a triglyceride matrix at a concentration of 200 - 400 mg/g, or sodium butyrate at a concentration of 200 - 400 mg/g along with short-chained organic acids at a concentration of 0 - 100 mg/g, or sodium butyrate at a concentration of 200 - 400 mg/g along with an extract from Yucca Schidigeri at a concentration of 0-25 mg/g, or sodium butyrate at a concentration of 200 - 400 mg/g along with short-chained organic acids at concentrations of 0 - 100 mg/g, along with an extract from Yucca Schidigeri at a concentration of 0-25 mg/g, in a triglyceride matrix up to 1 g for oral administration in the human in the form of a granulate, capsules or tablets. The produced medicinal product may be applied in the treatment or prophylaxis of inflammatory bowel diseases and of colorectal cancer.
