The present invention relates to a composition for immunity enhancement comprising an extract of Aralia cordata as an active component. The extract of Aralia cordata is capable of being applied to animals and humans as a composition for immunity enhancement which has recently been spotlighted as an antibiotic replacer since it has been confirmed that the extract of Aralia cordata does not exhibit cell toxicity even at a high capacity, and is very excellent as results of infecting the mice with listeria after measuring cell toxicity and cytokine-generating induction using bone marrow derived macrophage of mice and oral administering the extract of Aralia cordata to the mice. Accordingly, industrial effects of the extract of Aralia cordata are said to be excellent.본 발명은 땅두릅 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 면역증강용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 상기 땅두릅 추출물은 고용량에서도 세포독성(toxicity)을 나타내지 않으면서도, 쥐의 골수유래대식세포를 이용하여 세포독성 및 사이토카인 생성유도를 측정하고, 쥐에 경구투여한 후 리스테리아 균을 감염시킨 결과, 면역력 증강효과가 매우 우수함을 확인하였으므로, 최근 항생제 대체제로 각광을 받고 있는 면역증강용 조성물로 동물 및 사람에 활용될 수 있어, 그 산업적 효과가 우수하다 할 것이다.
