PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for fishing in which a cover member can stably be attached to a reel body without receiving influence of size variations of the reel body and the cover member so much.SOLUTION: A spinning reel for fishing includes a reel body 1a, and a cover member 18 having a tip end 28 engaged to an engaging recess 27 formed in the reel body 1a and being mounted to the rear of the reel body 1a by a screw member. A tilt regulating part 31 becoming narrower as going to the insertion direction P of the tip end 28 is formed between the engaging recess 27 and the tip end 28. The tilt regulating part 31 is configured by including a vertical direction regulating part 32 becoming narrower with respect to the vertical direction and a left and right directions regulating part becoming narrower with respect to left and right directions.
