The present invention provides methods for making and using microspheres to treat ocular symptoms. The present disclosure relates to biodegradable microspheres having a diameter of 40 μm to 200 μm that are effectively retained in the anterior chamber without causing hyperemia. The microspheres generally contain a drug that is effective in the treatment of ocular symptoms and incorporates a sustained release (>； 7 days) of drug that is available for anterior chamber administration.
