A substance delivery system comprising a syringe having a body comprising aconduit therethrough and an elongated plunger or piston. The body furtherincludes a capproviding a remover having at least one protrusion, projection, flange, rim,ring and/or collarconfigured to allow removal of the cap. The body also comprising a cap removaldevice,which includes a cantilever portion configured to allow the cap to be removedfrom thesyringe and a receiving recess for receiving the remover of the cap, whereinthe receivingrecess is formed at a juncture of the cantilever portion and a supportportion. The cantileverportion comprises two prongs forming a second recess there between configuredto engage areceiving portion of the cap, wherein the two prongs are arranged such thatthe cap is engagedwith them in a motion substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis ofthe syringe.
