Provided is a stent which can be placed accurately in a predetermined position of a tubular organ for a long term without displacement and which can be taken out smoothly from the tubular organ at a desired time. The stent 10 is provided with a metal stent body 20, a resin cover member 30 which covers at least a part of an outer circumference of the stent body 20, and bulging portions 40 which are provided in the part of the outer circumference of the stent body 20 covered with the cover member 30 and which make close contact with an inner wall of the tubular organ so as to restrain the stent 10 from moving, wherein: each of the bulging portions 40 extends with a predetermined width in a circumferential direction and with a predetermined length in an axial direction and is formed into a shape protruding smoothly so as to bulge gradually and then decline gradually.
