The present invention provides a method for culturing cells while maintaining the undifferentiated state of muscle stem cells. More specifically, by culturing cells using a medium containing retinoid and laminin, it is possible to culture cells while maintaining the undifferentiated state of muscle stem cells. As the retinoid, for example, atRA, AM80 or the like can be used. The muscle stem cells proliferated by culturing in a medium containing retinoid and laminin can be used for treatment of muscular dystrophy by cell transplantation and the like.本発明は，筋幹細胞の未分化性を保持したまま細胞を培養する方法を提供する。より具体的には、レチノイドとラミニンを含む培地を用いて細胞を培養することにより，筋幹細胞の未分化性を保持したまま細胞を培養することを可能とする。レチノイドとしては例えば，ａｔＲＡ，ＡＭ８０などが使用できる。レチノイドとラミニンを含む培地を用いて培養することにより増殖させた筋幹細胞は，細胞移植による筋ジストロフィーの治療等に利用されうる。
