PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for disinfection and/or sterilization, which has a high content of an acid addition salt of 1-(3,4-dichlorobenzyl)-5-octylbiguanide solubilized, has controlled skin irritation and improved practicality.SOLUTION: The composition for disinfection and/or sterilization comprises an acid addition salt of 1-(3,4-dichlorobenzyl)-5-octylbiguanide being a main agent and one or more kinds of polyoxyethylene glycol type nonionic surfactants selected from the group consisting of a higher alcohol polyoxyethylene ether and an alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether being a solubilizer.
