The present invention includes compositionsand methods for treating and delivering medicinalformulations using an inhaler. The composition includes aspace filled flocculated suspension having one or moreflocculated particles of one or more active agents and ahydrofluoroalkane propellant. A portion of the one ormore flocculated particles is templated by the formation ofhydrofluoroalkane droplets upon atomization and thetemplated floe compacts upon the evaporation of thehydrofluoroalkane propellant to form a porous particle fordeep lung delivery.
