The disclosure relates to a device tofacilitate a user in transporting himself and his luggage to/from a train during embarking/disembarking. The disclosed device can bridge vertical level difference between train footboard and platform as well ashorizontal gap between the two for combination of different trains and platforms. It incorporatesramps configured to providea walkway from footboard of the train to platform. User can push his luggage over the walkway and likewise walk over it so as to transport the luggage andhim from the platform to the footboard and vice versa. In another aspect, the device enables user to transport himself and his luggage across the platform. The device can be used by elderly, temporarily disabled or wheelchair bound passengers to transport themselves and their luggage in and out of a train as well as on a platform or from one platform to another.
