Disclosed are heteroarylcarboxamide derivatives of Formula I, salts thereof, and methods for their preparation. Specific examples of compounds of Formula I include: (S)-1-methyl-7-[4-(1-methyl-pyrrolidine-2-carbonyl)-piperazin-1-ylmethyl]-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid (5-tert-butyl-3-methanesulfonylamino-2-methoxy-phenyl)-amide, 7-[4-((2R,4S)-4-hydroxy-1-methyl-pyrrolidine-2-carbonyl)-piperazin-1-ylmethyl]-1-methyl-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid (5-tert-butyl-3-methanesulphonylamino-2-methoxyphenyl)-amide, and (8)-1-methyl-7-[4-(1-methyl-pyrrolidine-3-carbonyl)-piperazin-1-ylmethyl]-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid (5-tert-butyl-3-methanesulphonylamino-2-methoxy-phenyl)-amide. Compounds of formula I have an effect on the enzyme p38 MAP-kinase and are useful for treating respiratory complaints, particularly COPD and asthma.
