Method and apparatus for obtaining cardiovascular information by measuring between two extremities. In this Patent of Invention, a method and an apparatus for obtaining information from the heartbeat system to heartbeat and continuously are described, which are based exclusively on measurements between two extremities and performed with a pair of distal electrodes in each of them. The measurement is performed by circulating an alternating current between one electrode of each limb and measuring the potential difference between the other two electrodes, one also at each limb. This potential difference has a low frequency component that is the electrocardiogram (or ECG) and another component that has the frequency of the injected alternating current and from which the so-called impedance plethysmogram (IPG) is extracted from the English impedance plethysmogram. Cardiovascular information will be determined by measuring the span between some predefined characteristic element of the ECG and some of the IPG.Método y aparato para obtener información cardiovascular midiendo entre dos extremidades. En esta Patente de Invención se describen un método y un aparato para obtener información del sistema cardiovascular latido a latido y de forma continua, que están basados exclusivamente en mediciones entre dos extremidades y realizadas con un par de electrodos distales en cada una de ellas.
