PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire which can curve at a desired position when reaching an occluded lesion and suppress the occurrence of a blood vessel perforation.SOLUTION: A guide wire 1 comprises: a long flexible wire main body 10; and a coil 4 which is formed by winding wires 411, 421, 431 spirally, and which is disposed at an outer periphery of a distal part of the wire main body 10 to cover the distal part.
