PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically powered surgical tool comprising a control module which is designed to withstand the rigors of autoclave sterilization and an internal circuit board which is sealed to avoid malfunctions due to the sterilization.SOLUTION: The control module is arranged in a shell attached inside a housing. The control module includes plural polyimide energized active seals 79 to protect the internal components from the effects of the sterilization. The control module also contains plural internal stoppers and external stoppers, plural O-rings 62, and a lid 60. The control module is configured to be sealed by inserting a fixture 55 into a module shell post 57 through a lid opening. The O-rings disposed between the lid and the shell also serve to protect the internal components from the effects of the sterilization.
