A method of image reconstruction in EIT (Electrical Impedance Tomography) to determine inhomogeneities of a sample, the method comprising: positioning contacts (1) at an edge of an investigated domain of the sample; inducing flow of current through the contacts (1); and reading potentials on the contacts (1), by using a system of connections (2) connected between the contacts (1) and a data acquisition system (4); the method characterized by: determining a conformal map that represents a transformation of a shape of a disk to a shape of the investigated domain; providing a plurality of hole positions within the investigated domain; processing the currents and potentials read at the contacts (1) using a theory of flows in multiply connected domains, by means of a processor (5) connected to the data acquisition system (4) and determining radiuses of holes at the provided positions; and imaging the determined radiuses of holes by means of a visualisation system (6), by transforming the positions and radiuses of holes to the investigated area using the conformal map.
