PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions for keratin fibers which can give an increased or improved cosmetic effect, for examples, eyelash curl keeping effect, increased thickness effect, and anti-sebum effect to keratin fibers, even if the composition contains water.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a composition for keratin fibers containing (a) at least one kind of acrylic latex, and (b) water, the amount of (a) acrylic latex in the composition being 8 mass% or more, preferably 10 mass% or more with respect to the total mass of the composition, and more preferably, 12 mass% or more, and the maximum stress value of the composition in the shear rate ranging from 0 to 20/s being higher than the stress value of the composition at a shear rate of 100/s.
