PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire introduction assisting tool having a simple structure and capable of easily inserting a wire into a catheter by a simple operation. SOLUTION: The wire introduction assisting tool 1 includes a first catheter groove 10 for supporting a distal end portion of a first catheter 13 and a proximal end portion of a first guide wire 14 on a surface of a base body 4A. Is provided by connecting in series with a first wire groove portion 11 for supporting the first wire groove portion 11, and the first catheter groove portion 10 and the first wire groove portion 11 both have a V-shaped cross section, and are adjacent to the first wire groove portion 11. The side 11A is located inside the adjacent side 10A of the first catheter groove portion 10 in a sectional view of each groove portion. Then, the operator can easily move the proximal end portion of the first guide wire 14 to the first catheter 13 side along the first wire groove portion 11 by simply moving the proximal end portion.
