The method involves acquiring a set of information on a state of an individual in a living place of the individual over a given time period, and determining a normal activity model of the individual from the acquired set of information. Another set of information on the state of the individual is acquired in the living place over another time period different from the former time period. The latter set of information is compared with the normal activity model, where the sets of information include physiological data and behavior information of the individual. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for assisting and monitoring neurodegenerative disease at an individual (2) a computer program comprising instructions to perform a method for assisting and monitoring neurodegenerative disease at an individual.
