A composition for diseases mediated by IL-6 or rhinovirus infectious diseases comprising an extract of Hippophae rhamnoides or a compound isolated therefrom
The present invention relates to a use of Hippophae rhamnoides extract or compounds isolated therefrom for preventing or treating IL-6-mediated diseases or rhinovirus infections. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method and composition which can prevent and treat rhinovirus infections and IL-6-mediated diseases using an extract from Hippophae rhamnoides or quercetin 3-glucoside-7-rhamnoside isolated from the extract, by inhibiting a signal transduction pathway specifically induced by IL-6.본 발명은 산자나무 추출물 또는 이로부터 분리된 화합물을 포함하는 IL-6으로 매개되는 질환 또는 라이노바이러스 감염성 질환의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 자세하게는 산자나무 추출물 또는 이로부터 분리된 퀘세틴 3-글루코사이드-7-람노사이드를 유효성분으로 포함함으로써, 특이적으로 IL-6에 의해 유도되는 신호전달체계를 저해하여 IL-6으로 매개되는 질환을 예방하고 치료할 수 있음은 물론, 라이노바이러스의 감염성 질환을 예방하고 치료할 수 있는 조성물에 관한 것이다.
