Insect trap of the type comprising a container in which is placed a bait, said container having orifices for facilitating the access and exit of the insects and the dispersion of the attracting chemical substances, where said container comprises a bath or deposit for the bait compartmentalised into a plurality of cells, the size and shape of the cells being related by the corresponding algorithm with the rheological characteristics of the bait, such that the bait remains inside the cells even if the trap is transported or used in a vertical or even inverted position, the trap also having a support that is coaxial with a cover such that these can rotate about each other along a path limited by stops and blocking elements.
