PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical laminar flow-type bioclean room and a relay unit capable of reducing costs by dispensing with large-scaled repair work and shortening work periods, having high degree of freedom in layout, and keeping a bioclean environment while saving energy.SOLUTION: A vertical laminar flow-type bioclean room is provided with an air conditioner unit 2 disposed in a ceiling of a patients room and supplying air downward from a ceiling surface, a relay unit (T1, etc.) disposed under a patient bed to suck the surrounding air and exhausting the air in the transverse direction, and a duct panel 3 disposed along a wall of the patients room and having a suction port 3a at a lower section. The air conditioner unit 2 has a HEPA filter 22 at an air supply side of an air conditioner 20, and a return air chamber 21 communicated with the outside air and the duct panel 3 at a suction side. The air sterilized and purified by being passed through the HEPA filter, is supplied as descend laminar flow toward the bed from the ceiling surface, and the surrounding air under the bed is sucked from the suction opening and returned to the return air chamber, by making the air conditioner unit 2 and the relay unit cooperate with each other.【課題】 改修工事が大掛かりとならず、工期を短縮でき、コストを削減できるとともに、レイアウトの自由度が高く、無菌環境下を省エネルギーで維持できる垂直層流タイプの無菌病室及び中継ユニットを提供すること。【解決手段】 垂直層流タイプの無菌病室において、病室の天井内に天井面から下方に向けて給気する空調機ユニット2と、患者のベッド下に周囲の空気を吸引して横方向に排気する中継ユニット(T1等)と、病室の壁に沿って下部に吸引口3aを有するダクトパネル3を設置し、空調機ユニット2は、空調機20の給気側にHEPAフィルタ22を、吸引側に外気とダクトパネル3とに連通する還気チャンバ21を設け、空調機ユニット2と中継ユニットとを協働させて、HEPAフィルタを通過して無菌・清浄化した空気を天井面からベッドに向けた下降層流として供給し、吸引口からベッド下周囲の空気を吸引して前記還気チャンバに還流させる。【選択図】 図1
