PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check valve device capable of improving the closing function of a slit to prevent a back flow, and a gastrostomy catheter.SOLUTION: The check valve device used for a medical catheter includes a valve housing recessed portion 5 formed at a rear end of a catheter body 2 and a check valve 10 installed in the valve housing recessed portion, the valve being entirely formed of an elastomer such as silicone rubber and including a base portion 11 formed in an annular flat plate shape, a body portion formed to extend in a narrowed shape by both side wall portions 14 inclined downward from the base portion in opposition to each other with the lower end having a flat slender square shape, and a slit 16 formed at the lower end of the body portion.
