The invention relates to the preparation and provision of a gelling collagencomposition that instantaneously forms a collagen matrix, and means for thepreparation and use thereof, in particular as part of a therapeutic treatmentinconjunction with degenerative or traumatic joint diseases. The collagencomposition is mixed during the application while being dispensed from a multi-chamber syringe in the site of application and forms a collagen matrixdirectly insitu. Advantageously, this method provides an improved fit of the cartilageimplant to the shape of the cavity.
