An anchor system (10) for securing a vascular access device (12) to a patient may include an anchor pad (14), which may include a lower surface, an upper surface (16), and a window (18) extending through the anchor pad. The system may also include the vascular access device, which may include a body (20) and a stabilization platform (24) extending from the body. The anchor pad may be coupled to and extend distally from the stabilization platform.
