A polymer product is provided. The polymer product includes an active arrester and an active compound. The active compound is selected from the group consisting of a volatile insecticide and an antimicrobial. The wash durability of the polymer product is in a range of from about 30 percent to about 95 percent over 10 washes. A process making the polymer product is provided. A formulation used for making the polymer product with sustained release insecticidal composition is provided. A process for a regenerated polymer product is also provided.
